Member of Parliament for Beckenham, Bob Stewart, has welcomed the Government’s £48 million investment through the Skills Investment Fund, boosting the rollout of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) and equipping students from all backgrounds with the high-quality, higher-level skills needed to secure well-paying jobs.

Beckenham Junction Footbridge Finally Re-Opened

The Footbridge at Beckenham Junction Station which connects platforms one and two with three and four has finally re-opened after being close for fifteen months. This follows pressure on Network Rail from Bob Stewart and local Councillors.

Schools in Beckenham, Hayes, Shortlands and West Wickham to Benefit from £450m Building Improvement Fund

Bob Stewart has welcomed over £450 million in extra funding to upgrade school buildings across the country, including projects at Marian Vian Primary School, Hayes Primary School, Oak Lodge Primary School, Wickham Common Primary School and, Glebe School in the Beckenham constituency. Valley Primary School in Shortlands, which is part of the Bromley & Chislehurst constituency, is also set to benefit from the funding.

£3 Million Extra Funding for Beckenham Schools

Bob Stewart has welcomed news that schools across the Beckenham constituency are receiving an extra £3,096,951, as part of £2 billion this year and next for primary schools and secondary schools in England.
